A nasty winter storm bringing heavy rain, strong winds and snow in higher elevations of the tri-state area has made a mess of the morning commute. The St. Clair County Sheriff Department responded to nine vehicle accidents between 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and about 7:30 a.m. today. No injuries were reported. The National Weather Service has issued flash flood warnings, wind and winter weather advisories throughout the tri-state.
