Radar still showing areas of heavy snow....Some of this appears to have become Lake enhanced snow from Lake Superior over parts of Washburn,Barron,Sawyer and far Northwestern part of Rusk Counties....So this could become very interesting if winds keep flowing of of Superior...Not uncommon to get lake enhanced snow this far South with a strong storm system....This could produce higher snowfall amounts in parts of Southern Washburn,Sawyer Counties...Along with parts of Northern Barron County and far Northwestern Rusk Counties than was forecasted. Most area schools have been closed through out our forecast area....Tune into your local news media for the latest on this.

Looks like the weather isn’t helping on the Fishbourne – Portsmouth Gunwharf Wightlink car ferry route. Here’s a travel update just in from WightLink – Ed. Please be advised that due to adverse weather, it has been necessary to cancel the following sailings: Wightlink would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. Passengers concerned about their sailing(s) should call Wightlink reservations on 0871 376 1000. As well as St Catherine sitting near Hythe Pier doing nothing, I now see that St Faith is tied up next to the terminal at Gunwharf having some serious work done to the open deck. It looks to me as if there is welding going on to the railings around the deck.
